Kokona Field Visit

On inspection for the site, we, a 5 members team from MsTIM and our respected Sir (Rot. Gopal Krishna Shrestha), headed towards Kokona Village at Lalitpur District. Kokona is just a half an hour ride from central Kathmandu. We departed at 2:00 pm from IOE, Pulchowk Campus. The route for was straight as we took Jwalakhel-Ekantakuna road and Ekantakuna to Kokona road.
We stopped at Secondary school at Kokona. Though the school was government school, but it had outstanding view. The school environment was clean. Infrastructure was very nice. The previous image of government schools in the mind of Nepalese are going to be changed. This school showed the ray of hope of being good transformation. Rotary club of Lalitpur(Mid-town) had shown strong presence in the cleanliness and infrastructure development.
Our purpose of the visit was to survey for the feasibility of water pump designed and proto-typed by us. The pump need a water flow with good gradient to work.

Present Scenario:
There was submerged water pump installed with power 20 HP and capacity of lifting water upto 32 m (about 100 ft) height in 6 inch pipe. This was installed for irrigation purpose.

Preparation for visiting to China

"God made People, Earth, Heaven and Hell but rest All are made in China". This is the proverb we are hearing these days. How is China then,? Everyone like to see it. After feeling the smoothness and hi-technology of japan, I have no more interest to sleep in this smoothness. Because I am born in the roughness and brought up with the smoke and rags all spread allover. But actually its not what the situation of my country. My country has own beauty, its natural and never be damaged too. Everything are beautiful, just you need to see with inner feelings.

Its the fact that travelling inside Japan is more expensive than travelling its neighboring countries from Japan. When the topic comes of travelling everyone like to know about the expenses first. Living a year in Japan, I have visited most of the destination around Tokyo. I have interest to see other part of the world too.

If you have intimate friend living in the destination then you can move there without hesitation. But you must be prepare with sufficient bills in your pockets. I have my school friend, living in Beijing then why do not I go there and see the beauty of China.

The main motive to do travelling somewhere was I would like to see some changes within me. I need to see something interesting and do something with excitements.

Its better to be prepared for the visit before a 45 days. The main thing is you have to manage own time. If its not holiday period, then its hard to get holiday. For getting holidays we have to request early. If its a vacation period then it would be definitely more expensive at that time as all people would like to travel at that time. The airfares will be hiking at peak at that time. So its better to get tickets as early as possible. The other main thing will be to get permission to visit there.
We have to go to embassy and apply for the tourist visa. In most of the countries there may not be problem for tourist visa if you are valid status in developed countries. But to visit from developed country to developed country, visa may not be granted.

In my case, I applied before 45 days from the date to travel. I confirm holidays at my office. I took holidays before 3 days of Golden Week holidays. In Golden Week time, the airfares are in skyrocketing mode. I have to buy ticket in nearly double the amount in off season fares. Anyway I have ambition to visit China, I bought from HIS. HIS is one of the travel agents who deals in English too.

Where to visit in China? .. its a very big country. Certainly it have lots of destination to visit. To step in China and without touching the Great Wall and seeing the skyscrapers of Shanghai, wont be any worth. My main targets were the great wall and the Shanghai.

Tokyo Dome

Date: 2009-5-1(Golden week vacation)
Location: Tokyo Dome.
Members: bharat, biken, bikram, rajendra, sajendra, sailendra, sanish, santosh, sudip, thakur.

We 10 guys from Nepal are gathering in the golden week vacation. Today is our first day to go out together. We decided to go to Tokyo Dome. Searching train maps we departed at noon. We reach the Karakoen Station(Tokyo Dome City) at 1:30 pm. The scene we show at first glance attracted us.
There was chilling excitement seen on the people on rolling coaster. Our first target was to conquer the Thunder Dolphin Rolling Coaster. For this we bought a day free pass ticket which includes all the packages along with Thunder Dolphin roller coaster which reaches speeds of 130 km/h, a ferris wheel, a hanging type roller coaster named the Linear Gale, the Tower Hacker, dropping riders from a height of 80 meters, etc. And the cost of ticket is 4000 yen.
We pasted the pass on hand and starting exploring the exciting events going on. First target was Rolling Coaster, there was a long line and we stayed in line for 30 mins to get our turn. Oh my God! we were shouting when the rolling coaster was lifting us to up ward. As the roller smacked towards down at the speed of 130km/h and height 88m for 66m drop, I nearly forget to breathe. Its a very thrilling moment can`t describe in few words. As the roller was moving very high speed, I as frighten seeing down too. But when I see the rope bending down and passing through the hole of the building, it`s too much!.
